In the film, Fonda's character, Frank Beardsley, occurs as Naval officer, while Ball's character, Helen Northerly, occurs as Navy nurse. Frank meets Helen once she will require care of his retch girl. It immediately hit it off & last within the date, all the when two of the babies shying out of admitting their several secrets; Frank has x youngsters & Helen has eight, from either last marriages that ended in dying for two their married person.

Although it fight it, their attraction is undeniable, & it quickly marry. Fallowing occasionally initial tension, a xviii tykes attach & produce a single big blended family.

The remake starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo is scheduled for a November 2005 release date.
